What actually changes
OTF and WOFF are not the same picture in two wrappers.
The font tables are wrapped in the WOFF container with zlib compression. Outlines and OpenType features are unchanged.
Worth knowing first
WOFF carries an extended metadata block for licensing information, and most converters leave it empty. If your foundry licence requires attribution to travel with the file, that has to be added deliberately rather than assumed.
