What actually changes
PNG and DOCX are not the same picture in two wrappers.
The image is OCRed and the recognised text is written into a DOCX as paragraphs. What you get is editable text in Word, not a reconstruction of the original design.
Worth knowing first
Only the words come across. Tables become runs of loose text, columns interleave, and images in the original are not carried into the document. Treat the output as clean text to be reformatted, not as a copy of the page.
