What actually changes
XLSX and PDF are not the same picture in two wrappers.
The sheet is paginated exactly as it would print, using the print area, scaling and page break settings stored in the workbook, and written as PDF pages with selectable text.
Worth knowing first
Spreadsheets have no natural page size, so a wide sheet splits across pages in a way that looks arbitrary in the PDF. Set the print area and Fit to 1 page wide in Excel before converting, or the PDF will spread six columns over four pages.

Why is my table split across pages?
Page scaling was left at 100 percent. Fit to width is what most reports need.
Do all sheets get included?
By default, every sheet with content, in tab order. Hidden sheets are not printed.
Are formulas visible?
No. The PDF shows computed values, exactly like a printout.
